An essential personality in British rock'n roll almost since he first started out, Rod Stewart was part of the world composed of the Kinks, Fleetwood Mac and the Rolling Stones. Yet he only scored a real hit in 1967 with the Jeff Beck Group, then The Faces, with whom he topped the bill. In the years 2000, he abandoned rock to become a jazzy crooner.
In 2006, Rod Stewart nevertheless returned to the world of rock with the album «Still The Same… Great Rocks Classics», an opus of revivals of works by Van Morisson, Bob Dylan and John Fogerty. This album went straight to N°1 in the hit-parade, in the «Best rock album», «Top Internet Album» and «Top 200 Album» categories.
Rod Stewart can also be found in the Guinness Book of Records : - In 1979, «Da Ya Think I'm Sexy» was the single that sold out the fastest in the history of rock. - The 1994 concert on the Copa Cabana beach in Brazil brought in the highest number of spectators (4.5 million).
